    Today was my first lesson. We practiced basic greetings and simple daily expressions. Although I sometimes forgot what I heard after just a couple of sentences, the teacher was very patient and encouraging. He also explained the differences between male and female forms in Arabic, which was very helpful. I really appreciated how he gave me many chances to practice speaking and corrected my pronunciation gently.
