Introductory/trial lesson went well. Briefly reviewed formal and informal greetings, how to introduce yourself (name, nationality, etc), and how to say what you like/dislike or what you like to do/what you don't like to do. Also introduced other basic phrases and everyday vocabulary. Towards the end of the class, he suggested specific songs/singers and TV shows that would help improve my Amharic comprehension outside the classroom.

Today's session centred around how to make a detailed inquiry about a person's welfare (e.g.their family, their country and their neighbourhood). The days of the week ( and its variants), the months of the year ( and its variants) and important times of the day ( e.g. breakfast, lunch and dinner), were also interesting features of today's lesson.
