English as an Additional Language Teacher; Supported K-12 English as an Additional Language students through push-in and pullout services. Planned and taught lessons to develop social and academic language, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Supported students’ English acquisition in all subjects of the IB curriculum, including math and science. Created Response to Intervention Plans which ensured students received necessary accommodations and/or modifications, and provided teachers with strategies to support learners. Conducted RTI and IEP meetings. Served as an Exhibition Mentor, Community Project Mentor, and Personal Project Mentor. Participated in Literacy Review Committee, Book Week Committee, Children’s Literature Book Club, and accreditations teams for CIS, ACE, NEASC, and the IB. Implemented wellness initiatives: Taught Yoga for Staff. Created PYP Mindfulness Pilot Program and trained other staff members to teach mindfulness in their classrooms.
